Melvin Chen is Professor in the Practice of Piano at the Yale School of Music and Director of the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival–Yale Summer School of Music. A native of Tennessee, Dr. Chen has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States, Canada, and Asia.
EAP works alongside the Irvine International Music Competition to recognize exceptional young musicians and create opportunities for continued artistic development.
